She reclaims a life dictated by diagnoses and lived under a microscope with a fluid style of working with acrylic and collage that embraces improvisation and ambiguity. The body of paint becomes a metaphor for the body, and her use of layering and collage evoke a sense of history and knowing versus not knowing.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Texas, Lee Ann moved to the Philadelphia area at age 12. She earned a BFA in Painting &amp; Drawing and Ceramics from Tyler School of Art (1996), followed by an MA in Art Therapy from Drexel University (2004) and a PhD in Expressive Therapies from Lesley University (2021).
